PANDEMONIUM LIFE WITHOUT LITERATURE

12 years ago, there was a girl who always keep on asking her parents to buy her some story books of Disney Princesses. That girl, it's me. The first time I've learned how to read english words is also the first time that I felt confident. It may sound cheap but I felt like I can express myself in a different and intelligent way.

Being a 21st Century learner isn't  all about trends and social media. In this technology driven world, we almost forgot that before e-books or e-zines came, we already had books to read. Also as what the quote above said, I think literature taught us how to read and write. When we read, we're like travelling. And being on the memorable places or adventures pushes us to take note of something we don't want to forget. Without literature life is hell because without it we're unable to read and write. Just to simplify things, we'll become illiterate. This makes me imagine an everyday living without  literature is like living with darkness or the person you've hated the most. It's exasperating and discomforting.

PLOT:             The author started his story by introducing the characters. He first mentioned Jacobo Salcedo or Jake then after him was Gina with his brother Lito and a friend of him also. Jacobo stated the social status of his friend that is from way, way below on the social ladder of him. On the second paragraph, he states what money can buy and how it is used that it can buy an honor.             Lito and he are friends even they aren't on the same status and they often played truant, swimming in  the creek, fishing, and catching frogs because he believe that children are bonded together not by racial affinity but by shared experience. Since he was in Lito's house quite often, Gina, Lito's younger sister often played with them. KA BEL "If helping the poor is a crime, and fighting for freedom is rebellion, then I plead guilty as charged." A quote from Crispin Beltran, a popular figure called “Ka Bel” by friends and fellow unionists. He quietly but firmly helped reshape the local labor movement into a force that would contribute in opposing the dictatorship. Ka Bel thought us to love our own country and its people. He sacrificed himself to be a voice of our laborers. We should protect our own rights because at the end of the day, we must stand for it. We must know our limitations but atleast fight for what is right and just. For me, if I were on his place I would do the same also. He symbolizes the voice of a laborer who's not being heard. TALIPAO MASSACRE A reportage is a factual presentation in a book or other text, especially when this adopts a journalistic style (Merriam Webster). Last time, we are tasked to search a reportage and our group was assigned to discuss or report about talipao massacre on Sulu. We chose the Talipao Massacre on Sulu because it is one of the biggest crime happened in that area.
