KA BEL "If helping the poor is a crime, and fighting for freedom is rebellion, then I plead guilty as charged." A quote from Crispin Beltran, a popular figure called “Ka Bel” by friends and fellow unionists. He quietly but firmly helped reshape the local labor movement into a force that would contribute in opposing the dictatorship. Ka Bel thought us to love our own country and its people. He sacrificed himself to be a voice of our laborers. We should protect our own rights because at the end of the day, we must stand for it. We must know our limitations but atleast fight for what is right and just. For me, if I were on his place I would do the same also. He symbolizes the voice of a laborer who's not being heard. A victim without a justice and a fighter without weapons. Photo Credits: bantayog.org

OHANA "If we went broke and lost everything today, we'd still be a family tomorrow." The quotation that will always remain on our hearts. In this world full of broken family, I have a complete one. Struggles here, stuggles there, and struggles everywhere. I think everybody or every family has it's problem and it is just on how they will handle it. I came from a family wherein we're all imperfect. Well, everybody isn't. 20 years ago, my Mama and Papa decided to marry each other. And that's the reason why Ate Bernadette, Me, and my youngest brother Arvin came. We are from the immensurable love of two person who decided to prove that there is a happily ever after. But just like the old and cliché stories, there's always a conflict. Year 2012 when Ate started pursuing her dreams taking an Office Management course. She's 3rd year college when she thinks that her life would be a mess when she didn't shift. She failed on her subject and that'...

MY GULAYAN (Malunggay & Alugbati) "If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere."A quote from Vincent Van Gogh that everyone should remember. Nowadays 21st century learners doesn't realize the importance of gardening. And yes, there are still people who manage to plant in this world full of technologies. The main reason why we should plant is for our food security. According to powerhouse hydroponics, food security is having access to and being able to afford nutritious, safe food—and enough of it. This is a major concern for many families all over the world. Fortunately, urban farming contributes to greater food security. Isn't it good to pick some vegetables on your garden than to buy one into grocery store? I think having the gulayan on your own backyard is much better than buying some of it in expensive price on supermarkets. The benefits of malunggay leaves are it normalizes blood sugar level (diabetes), combating malnutritions, and anticanc...

PLOT:             The author started his story by introducing the characters. He first mentioned Jacobo Salcedo or Jake then after him was Gina with his brother Lito and a friend of him also. Jacobo stated the social status of his friend that is from way, way below on the social ladder of him. On the second paragraph, he states what money can buy and how it is used that it can buy an honor.             Lito and he are friends even they aren't on the same status and they often played truant, swimming in  the creek, fishing, and catching frogs because he believe that children are bonded together not by racial affinity but by shared experience. Since he was in Lito's house quite often, Gina, Lito's younger sister often played with them. Month of December, he had gone to the Garcia's house although he knew Lito had gone elsewhere when in fact, he wanted to see Gina and that is when they realized...
